Family: The Joneses

A few months ago, I had a great afternoon at Utah Lake taking pictures of this sweet little family. Gavin is absolutely adorable. He definitely inherited both of his parents’ beautiful features. I love his soft baby hair and his shy smiles. Kim and Steven are so photogenic and so easy to photograph as well! What a good looking family they are!

The McKinney’s Family

The first time I met Anastasiya, she brought me cupcakes! How could I not like this lady? She was so sweet and friendly it was so easy to talk to her and befriend her. I am so glad that I got to know her, Josh, and their cute little Dimitri better during the photo session. Dimitri was super giggly and I just can’t get over how big and blue his gorgeous eyes are! He is the perfect blend between Josh and Anastasiya. This family is truly gorgeous.

Jordyn’s Maternity

My beautiful sister-in-law is having a baby in August. I am so excited for her. I know that she is going to be terrific at being a mommy because she had been the best baby sitter in the world. She was patient with little Liam even though he could be impossible sometimes. She bonded with him during the last couple weeks of our (my husband and mine) final exams last semester. She came and babysat my little Liam for a few hours a day, five days a week, and sometimes even at the very last notice! She literally saved us from ripping our hair out. Without her, Mr. and I would have probably gone insane and our house a mad house.

Dear Jordyn, I hope everything goes well for the rest of your pregnancy. I am so excited to meet mini you+Tyler!! Thanks for being Liam’s favorite aunt! P.S You make a gorgeous preggo.

The Williams

Julie and I were good friends from college. We actually never had any classes together, and if it weren’t for our job at the Polynesian Culture Center (PCC), we wouldn’t even have known each other, except for maybe walking past each other in the hallway of our freshman dorm. We became really good friends while we were cleaning bathrooms and the theater at the PCC. While we were mopping the floors and scrubbing toilets, We would talk about our ex-es, crushes, our plans for the future, and how we should be on one of the souvenir magnets and bookmarks they were selling at the gift shops at PCC.

Our friendship survived graduation, and moving away from Hawaii (me back to Malaysia and her to Florida). Six years after our graduation, we reunited in Hawaii (this time on the Big Island), married, and with our own little babies. We had a lot of fun spending a few days with the Williams. They took us to all the cool places that I never thought I’d even know about if it weren’t for them. It was fun to see our babies play together and our husbands became friends.

I liked getting to know Julie as a mother. Being a loving mother suits her. She glowed with joy and was ALWAYS smiling and chuckling at all the little things little Troy does. She’s my example. You’re the greatest, Jules!
